| Dhaka formerly known as Dacca and Jahangir Nagar, under Mughal rule, is the capital of Bangladesh and the principal city of Dhaka District. | Barisal City is an old port on the Kirtankhola on the northern shore of the Bay of Bengal in southern Bangladesh. It is now the divisional headquarter of the Barisal Division and consists of 30 wards and 50 mahallas. Barisal City has one police academy. Barisal is a rice producing center of Bangladesh. Balam (a kind of baasmati) is the most popular rice in Barisal. It is also famous for Betel Leaf, a typical south Asian chewing itemCoconut is very common in there as it is a costal area. | Rangpur Division was proclaimed as Bangladesh’s seventh division on January 25th, 2010, prior to which it was part of the Rajshahi Division. It has been created with greater Rangur and Dinajpur regions and in total consists of eight districts which are Rangpur, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Nilphamari, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon and Lalmonirhat. This division consists of 58 Upazillas within the said 8 districts. With a population of 13.9 million, Rangpur division is the northernmost division of Bangladesh. The major cities in the division includes Rangpur, Dinajpur and Saidpur. The city of Saidpur has the only airport in the division. |

| Pabna is a city in the west-central region of Bangladesh and the major city of Pabna District. It is located on the Padma river (Ganges) and has a population of about 138,000. Pabna is a major industrial area, especially in textiles. The largest meat factory in southeast Asia called “Bengal Meat is situated in Kashinathpur, third largest town of Pabna. Also the leading consumer goods and pharmaceuticals producer of Bangladesh, called “Square Consumer Products” and “Square pharmaceuticals”. | |||
| Also the country’s oldest pharmaceuticals named “Edruc Limited”, has their major production plant situated in this district. There is a consumer food company in Pabna named Universal Food Limited.
